Nancy Kreider / MAED, Psychology of Reading – Advisor
A Pennsylvania native, Nancy Kreider has been a teaching professional for the past two decades, specializing in middle school education. Ms. Krieder holds a BS in Secondary Education from Lock Haven State College and an MAED in Psychology of Reading from Temple University. She has served as the upper school English teacher at St. Peter’s Middle School since 1999 and is also a member of the curriculum committee. Nancy has been an instructor for the adult literacy program at the Community College of Philadelphia as well as a reading specialist at Montgomery County Intermediate Unit in Erdenheim, PA. She is Permanent Pennsylvania Teaching certified.
As a steadfast advocate for education Ms. Krieder developed and implemented comprehensive language arts programs that encompassed expository writing, reading, journaling and responding in various literary genres, including short stories, poetry and folk tales.
Having expanded her expertise beyond the classroom Nancy has written and directed several plays in and out of the school sector. For more than 10 years Ms. Kreider has developed and taught various courses and workshops on knitting, politics and the history of herbs for children ages eight to 14.
